My Little Snack 1: Light Within

By: TheDragonBoydeviantArtEka's PortalArchive of our Own

Summary

The first story in what will become the "My Little Snack" vore series. There's a bit of exposition at the beginning, but I tried to keep it to a minimum.

In this story, Lily is able to see for the first time what the inside of her friend Mallow's stomach looks like- and what was hidden by the darkness every time the dragon took in a meal with her still inside.

Lots of internals and a bit of food digestion, but everything is safe and non-fatal (for now).

“Okay, I’m ready.” …*glunk*

...

Lily was very excited today, she had finally gotten her hands on the artifact she had been looking for: a special light source which could be magically anchored to a surface and would then float in the air nearby, shining like your own personal little sun. Why did she want something like that? Well to understand that, you’ll need to know a bit of her story.

You see for a while now, young Lily had been living with her new friend, roaming the wilderness and living off the land. Now you might think a life like that is too unsafe for a little girl, with all the dangerous plants and animals which lurk about, but don’t worry, she’s in excellent- um, claws. Yes, that “friend” of hers happens to be an impressively large dragoness, well equipped for defense and with a mind to protect the child. How did a little girl come to live all alone with a dragon in the wild? Well if I spend too much time on explanation and world-building we’ll never get to the vore, so just worry about that later.

What you should know is that Lily gave the dragon the name Mallow, after the flower which shared colors similar to her scales. The girl thought it would be fitting, since she herself had been named after a flower as well. While Mallow did already have a name of her own, trying to pronounce it in the human tongue was nearly impossible, even by the dragoness herself, who by some turn of fate had somehow learned to speak the language in years past.

Finally, you should know that that sound you heard at the beginning of the story, was Mallow swallowing Lily whole.

The little girl loved a lot of things about the dragon, her beautiful scales, her wings that carried them into the air, her caring disposition (at least towards Lily), but the thing she possibly enjoyed the most was Mallow’s amazing ability to control her insides.

...

Lily giggled as the world went black and she felt the familiar, warm wetness welcoming her back. She clutched the small magical sphere to her chest as she was pushed gently downwards by the contractions of the dragon’s throat. The orb was still inactive; dark- she was saving the light in anticipation for the big moment.

As she traveled deeper, she could start to make out Mallow’s heartbeat and then the gurgling of her stomach- where she was headed. Before long Lily felt her legs squeezing through the end of the passage. For a moment they dangled there, above the steaming pit of the dragon’s digestive juices, but before the girl’s body was halfway through, she felt the slimy wall of Mallow’s stomach which had extended to meet her, stretching inwards like a pair of cupped hands to form a platform and save her from what lay below.

The flesh beneath her sloped gently, guiding her like a slide as she was fed into the stomach, her legs extended out in front, until she was released from the throat and found herself sitting on a ledge of muscle at the roof of the dragon’s gut.

Once she was fully inside, Lily felt things begin to shift. The surface she was on began to tilt, sliding her at a gentle angle until she came to rest in a safe, cozy divot. She reached out one arm, feeling the slimy walls slope up all around her, and slowly got to her feet. By now, Mallow was used to stretching her gut to form that little pouch at the top of her stomach. She kept the area free of acid, providing a space for Lily that was remarkably safe considering the deadly nature of her surroundings.

Good thing, too, because Lily practically lived in there. Leaving only to tend to her needs or get the occasional breath of fresh air, this was where Lily spent most of her time. She felt around at the slimy walls, learning every fold and valley; she let herself be rocked back and forth as Mallow walked; and she listened to the sounds as the dragon ate, and her food was dropped into the pool below to gurgle and dissolve. The wetness, the warmth, the sounds, even the smell had become like her new home. There was just one thing, though… It was dark.

Lily didn’t particularly mind the dark. She knew she had nothing to fear when she was in there, but she always wished she could see what the dragon looked like on the inside instead of just feeling it. Hence why she was so excited about her new possession.

Smiling wide in the darkness, Lily felt around and oriented herself. First she found the lip, at about chest level, which separated her pocket from the surrounding stomach. She ran her free hand welcomingly along the curved surface, getting it thoroughly covered with mucus in the process. Then she turned until she faced the outer wall, which ran up above her head to join Mallow’s throat. She pressed her other hand, holding the magic sphere, firmly into the squishy folds and gave it a squeeze.

As she held her breath in anticipation, there was a loud gurgle from below.

Finally, something caught Lily’s eye: the faintest glow, just an arm’s length from her face. She watched in awe as the light slowly grew brighter, spilling around her fingers. She felt the orb grow lighter as it grew brighter, starting to support its own weight.

The first things she noticed beyond her own fingers were tiny, glinting reflections from the strands of slime coating the walls. Then she could just dimly start to make out the reddish color of the flesh in front of her. Then she started to recognize her arm as it reached out, glistening with Mallow’s juices.

Lily let go of the glowing orb and took a step back. It moved out a few inches from the wall of its own accord and started to float there. Now that she had released it, it flared even brighter. She squinted and shielded her eyes from the sudden light. When her vision finally adjusted, she gasped.

Now the girl could clearly see the pale, pink flesh of the wall in front of her. She ran her hand over the surface as it slowly undulated beneath her fingertips, bathed in light for the first time ever. She looked down and saw the small pool of liquid that surrounded her bare feet, and wiggled her toes, watching the mucus squish between them.

As the light grew brighter still, she decided she’d built up enough suspense. Her heart fluttered with anticipation as she started to turn away from the wall, back around toward the greater area of the stomach. This is what she had been waiting for. For so long she’d had no idea of what lay beyond her little pouch. She couldn’t exactly go exploring with the deadly, indiscriminate acid everywhere, so everything out of reach had been left to her imagination, fed by the constant sloshing that filled the tainted air.

Until that moment when she turned around, and now she could see everything.

She was struck by how alive everything seemed; every pink surface rippled around her in a slow dance, glistening as strands of mucus dripped from above. She looked up and could clearly make out the exit of Mallow’s throat, the sphincter squeezed tightly shut to ensure no prey could ever escape.

Finally, Lily bent over the lip of her pouch just slightly, and looked down. Her face lit up. Below her lay the pool of the dragon’s gastric juices, churning with the remains of Mallow’s last meal, with colors that ranged from yellow, to pale white, to blood red. The gentle kneading of the stomach walls constantly stirred the brew, continuing its transformation into fuel for the dragon’s body.

“Wow… Mallow, it looks amazing.” Lily said, unable to take her eyes off the spectacle. The dragon chuckled a bit in embarrassment, a sound the girl could feel all around her and which visibly shook the liquids below.

“I’m glad you like it. I can’t say many others would feel the same,” Mallow replied. There was a long moment of silence as Lily continued to stare into the churning pit below. She watched the muscles toward the base of the stomach tense up, and a loud squelch reached her ears as a bit of the mixture was passed on, making room for new food.

“So, are you ready for more?” Mallow asked softly.

“Yes!” Lily exclaimed.

“Okay, just be careful,” Mallow replied.

Everything started to shift as the dragon stood up. Until then she had remained largely still; when she wasn’t moving she could relax her stomach more and give Lily a bit more room to move around- without worrying about her getting splashed with acid from the depths below- but now that she was moving, Lily saw the lip of her pouch grow higher, cutting off most of her view to protect her as the sloshing within grew more violent.

After a moment Mallow settled down again. Lily wriggled her toes in excitement, as she knew the dragon had just walked over to her latest kill. The walls around her relaxed slightly as Mallow tried to give her little friend as wide a view as she deemed safe. The rippling flesh surrounding her seemed to roll a bit more quickly, as if the dragon’s stomach was anticipating this just as much as Lily was.

“Alright, here it comes.” Mallow announced. Lily felt the dragon lean forward a bit as she no doubt dug her teeth into the side of her meal. The little girl could feel every little motion as Mallow tore off a piece and withdrew. She could also hear faintly as the dragon chewed the meat at the other end of her long neck.

Then there was the swallow; a distant but emphatic *gulp* that sent the food on its way to meet its new neighbor. Lily listened intently as the familiar squelching of peristalsis grew louder. Her eyes stayed fixed on the stomach’s entrance, until finally she saw it begin to open.

The girl stared unblinkingly as the chewed blob of meat was gradually excreted with a series of wet squelches, falling lightly onto the stomach wall before sliding into the pool of acids below. As it sunk into the churning pit, Lily heard the blob start to hiss, and noticed bubbles forming around its edges. Her lips parted with silent wonder as she watched the mass instantly begin to dissolve. Within a minute, she could no longer quite tell if what lay beneath the gurgling waves was even solid.

“Well, how was it?” Mallow asked, sounding a bit worried that Lily hadn’t said anything yet.

“I’ve never seen anything like it…” the girl muttered quietly, humbled a bit by the sight. The dragon waited for another moment; she didn’t want to rush the kid or anything, but she was kinda hungry.

“So, should I keep going?” she asked.

“Definitely!”

And so the dragon began to eat in earnest. Lily watched in fascinated silence as more and more globs of meat began to fall from above; blobs of Mallow’s food, falling into her stomach. The pale pink walls became more violent as they began to squish and squeeze the contents below. Loud gurgles and splashes filled what air there was as the dragon’s body did what it was designed to do.

Since she had never been able to see before, Lily never knew quite how near she commonly came to the other contents of the stomach when the dragon was full. But with the light now shining, she could see just how close the splashes of deadly liquid came to her little enclosure. If she reached an arm over the lip, she was sure it would be burned before long- or worse. She felt like she stood on the bow of a tiny ship, stranded on a violent and deadly sea. And yet she wasn’t afraid. The girl placed a hand on the slimy wall next to her, and felt that familiar comfort in knowing that Mallow would keep her safe.

It wasn’t long until new arrivals stopped. And even though everything was still in motion, things somehow seemed calmer. The stomach had gotten larger, stretching to accommodate its new content. Lily felt the walls tense up, and everything squeezed inward slightly as the exit to the dragon’s throat opened one final time. A moment later, Lily heard a faint burp.

The girl took her eyes off the deadly pool below and turned to look at the walls of her own little pocket. There they still were, undulating softly- a calm in the raging sea. She rubbed her hand across the surface, feeling the soft ridges of the wet muscle against her fingers.

“I love you Mallow,” Lily said quietly. But Mallow could hear her just fine.

“I love you too, my little snack.”
